We think that maps will be a fundamental interface on the mobile phone, almost as important as the web browser. As more and more local, social and real-time info comes online, our mobiles will be the bridge between the real and virtual worlds.

Maps offer one of the best modes to get relevant info about what is around you. No longer are maps just a means to get from point A to B, they are becoming scale models of the real world around us. Eventually, maps will be as dynamic and dense as the places they represent – but the trick is making maps hide the chaos of the real world to present only that info that is relevant and useful at the time.
